Planet Solar

Launched in 2010 and is the largest solar powered vessel ever built. It was also the first fully solar-powered vessel to circumnavigate the globe.

MV Adastra

Designed for ultra-efficient long-range cruising this stunning vessel won the Most Innovative Design Award (2013) – World Superyacht Awards. "Best Naval Architecture – Motor Yachts" (2013) – ShowBoats Design Awards.

HENLEYS involvement was complete driveline design and supply including performance calculations / TIGER propeller. We also supplied the drivelines for the outer hull drives including Flexofold folding propellers.

Ika Rere

The Southern Hemisphere’s first fully electric high-speed passenger ferry. Ika Rere is a 19-metre, carbon-fibre construction catamaran. Operating in Wellington Harbour it carries up to 132 passengers and achieves a service speed of 20 knots.

HENLEYS involvement was full driveline design and manufacture.

Pastime

To the best of our knowledge the 2nd oldest racing yacht in the world.

Pastime is a fully restored 1886 Kauri racing yacht, brought back to life by John Erkkila, Chris Kendrick and master boatbuilder Craig Wild. Now sailing in Auckland's classic fleet, she's a proud example of New Zealand's maritime heritage.

HENLEYS supplied complete driveline including a new Flexofold propeller. We also assisted with rudder repair and a new mainsheet traveler. â€‹

Earth Race / Ady Gil

World Record for Fastest Powerboat Circumnavigation (2008). Bio-diesel powered wave piercing trimaran. Later famously sunk as the "Ady Gil" by a Japanese whaling vessel during a Sea Shepard campaign in Antarctic waters.

Tara

The Tara is a famous French scientific research sailing vessel best known for global ocean expeditions, especially in climate, biodiversity, and microplastics research. Previously Sir Peter Blakes "Seamaster".

HENLEYS involvement was performance calculations / MANTA propeller design and supply. These propellers were specially designed with reinforced folded tips for operation in Antarctic ice fields. 

​

Vanguard

Built by Q-West Boat Builders, the Vanguard is a 30m purpose-designed mussel harvesting vessel.

Aremiti 2

Large passenger/ vehicle ferry operating out of Tahiti.

HENLEYS have been supplying Thordon SXL prop shaft bearings for many years. We also machined and installed GRP housing liner sleeves to prevent ongoing corrosion of the aluminium sterntubes.

HENLEYS also supplied new stainless steel prop shafts in 172mm diameter.
